As we scale for PagerDuty’s next phase of growth, we are looking for a Senior Manager, reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Planning and Strategy. Partnering with the CMO, marketing leaders and other cross-functional leaders, you will help shape our marketing strategy, improve our marketing planning process, prepare materials for executive level discussions and drive key strategic and operational projects. You will play a key role in deriving insights from our marketing data.

You will be responsible for helping executives and marketing management make data-driven decisions by providing a rigorous weekly forecast and explanations of key drivers of business performance. You will develop hypotheses on opportunities to improve our business, lead ad-hoc analyses to validate these hypotheses, and synthesize actionable recommendations back to our marketing leaders.

You will work closely with Marketing Ops and Finance teams to drive marketing reporting for C-level and board-level audiences. Together, you will coordinate resource allocation throughout the year to achieve the highest ROI.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners. The ideal candidate will be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information supporting a rapidly changing organization. We're seeking a self-starter who can recognize where processes can be improved and who will take the initiative to improve them.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support strategic and operational initiatives, bringing insights for action, analyze business drivers, identify improvement opportunities, develop action plans and enable continuous improvements in our business and operations.
  • Manage analyses and projects, such as KPI projection and target setting for the marketing team, in collaboration with Finance and Sales Ops.
  • Collaborate across business functions (marketing, product, sales, finance, legal, people, etc.) to gather the right information, prepare business cases, co-create deliverables, accelerate execution and unlock value.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in management consulting, strategy, or finance.
  • 5+ years of analytical and problem-solving skills: deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision making.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL
  • Strong communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to mobilize cross functional teams towards a common goal.
  • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments.
  • Software / SaaS industry domain experience.
  • Experience working with marketing-related project.
