Job description

Together we’re building a company that will endure and products people will love for generations to come.

We believe that people do their best in a culture that fosters inclusion, innovation, and success. Our values - Champion the Customer, Take the Lead, Run Together, Ack + Own and Bring Yourself - serve as the foundation of our collaborative and dynamic culture.

Whether it’s conducting a retrospective, participating in our bi-annual hack weeks, cranking out a new product feature, supporting our two PagerDuty bands, or doing our day to day work, Dutonians live and breathe these five values every day. Together, we solve real customer issues and fulfill our mission of connecting teams to real-time opportunities and elevate work to the outcomes that matter.

We’re building an inclusive workplace that represents the real, everyday people we support around the world. From how we build our teams to who sits in the boardroom, we hope you can see yourself at PagerDuty.

Your focus is to deliver amazing customer and candidate experience, developing lasting relationships and partnering closely with HR colleagues. You will be part of an experienced, collaborative, fun Talent Acquisition team that is passionate about PagerDuty’s success.

How you impact our vision:

  • Ensure the implementation and execution of the recruitment function (sourcing, screening, submitting, interviewing and closing) of candidates that meet or exceed hiring targets
  • Establish, cultivate and maintain solid working relationships with internal stakeholders (hiring managers, external relationships & other internal recruiting partners)
  • Maintain in-depth and up-to-date competitive knowledge of top talent, companies, competitive industries, geographic and broader recruiting and diversity trends
  • Possess razor-sharp instincts and know how to measure talent through professional qualitative and quantitative metrics
  • Build a pipeline of top talent, and skillfully convert passive candidates
  • Develop meaningful candidate analysis/assessments when presenting candidate slates
  • Craft, justify and negotiate offers (compensation, benefits, etc.)

About you:

  • 4+ years of previous full-cycle software recruiting experience at an agency, technology company, or hyper-growth startup
  • Superb client management, organizational, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong influence skills, consultative with the ability to handle high volume and multiple, distributed hiring partners
  • Ability to quickly become an expert in PagerDuty’s products and market differentiation
  • A professional self-starter with high energy and a collaborative team player, yet the ability to work independently
  • Possesses high competencies in strategic thinking and communication/interpersonal skills
  • Experience with both agency & in-house recruiting experience, and a deep understanding of the technology landscape in the USA
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting technical candidates at all levels from Entry to Director
  • Proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage a large and diverse requisition load in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Experience or interest in creating a pipeline and process to support the hiring of communities under-represented in tech sales

PagerDuty offers:
