You are:

A highly motivated entry or junior level marketer who is a self-starter with a unique blend of creativity and focus on managing the details. You thrive in working independently or as part of a team. You love pulling together information from numerous people and/or sources to tell powerful stories.  You are experienced in PowerPoint, have strong writing skills, have some design talents, and embrace spreadsheets and managing details.  You are not shy and willing to ask questions when you need clarity but are also great at taking direction and running with it.  

This position will be based in Stamford, CT, with remote work until the Pitney Bowes office opens.  When the office does open, the role will allow for flexibility with some work in office and some remote.

As a Marketing Specialist, you will:

  • Report to the Global Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Sending Technology business unit. You will have high visibility with the marketing senior leadership team. There will also be opportunities to support the Chief Marketing Officer on special projects including assistance on key PowerPoint presentations, various writing projects (e.g. blogs), and developing agendas for All Hands meetings which involves interaction with the Marketing Executive Team.
  • Manage agenda of certain staff meetings, take meeting notes, and follow-up with organization leaders on next steps and marketing deliverables.
  • Work in a supporting role on cross-functional initiatives as needs arise across the Sending Technology Marketing organization.
  • Support the VP and his direct reports with budget management activities including the opening of Purchase Orders, following up on their status, and ensuring payments to vendors are being made. Light calendar, travel and expense management is also required.

 

 

Qualifications

As a Marketing Specialist you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a business environment, preferably within a marketing organization
  • Demonstrated ability to think like a Marketer, including interest in targeting, messaging, positioning, creative development and/or measurement/analysis
  • Acumen to handle complex situations and prioritize competing projects with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Facility with Keynote (Apple) and confidence with new technology
  • Strong sense of design
  • Ability to interface globally with employees and management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written/verbal skills
  • Comfortable with numbers and managing budget details.
