You will be responsible for being the Subject Matter Expert for Assurance, primarily for L3 routing, but also for Service and Resource Assurance using Blueplanet’s ROA and UAA products. You will also be responsible for supporting the Go To Market sales organization in pursuit of opportunities, specifically in providing customer facing demos, responding to RFx and engaging in PoCs. You will be expected work within a team environment but also to take ownership for delivery of the items mentioned above.
•Work closely with the client’s IT, Network Operations, Planning and Engineering teams to understand existing business and system processes and to define new OSS system requirements
•Lead, assist and/or creates technical design specifications to align with client needs as well as contribute other project documentation to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of solutions
•Work closely with BluePlanet and the clients architecture, design and development teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and solution being developed throughout the project life-cycle
•Work independently and in a hands-on manner
•Facilitate and/or participate in user acceptance testing, project workshops and other activities to ensure client teams are well-informed and engaged and projects are delivered to customer satisfaction.
•Facilitate and participate in workshops and design session both internally and externally to drive towards an optimal solution for a desired requirement while maintain pragmatism and meeting cost objectives.
•Demonstrated expert knowledge of the telecoms OSS domain
•Deep understanding of Telecom Network design and architectures
•Broad end to end view across OSS and BSS technologies and ecosystems including associated technologies such as service assurance/analytics, SD-WAN, SDN/NFV, 5G and cloud infrastructure, service orchestration & OSS automation, mediation, billing & charging, IoT and service exposure.
•Deep understanding of Service Assurance, Service Lifecycle Management, Discovery, Activation, Performance, Fault and SLA Management
•Understanding of the Telco OSS ecosystem and ideally knowledge of one or more of the following Assurance systems – Centina vSure/NetOmnia, Packet Design Route Explorer, IBM Netcool, HP NNMi/TeMIP, Ericsson (CENX), CA (Spectrum and Concord), Federos Assure1.
•Expert domain knowledge in multiple telecom technologies (DWDM, Ethernet, IP, etc)
•CCIE Routing/Switching or similar level of professional experience
•Experience with service provider network designs and architectures
•Familiarity with IP network automation tools and techniques
•Experience working in a NOC, resolving complex IP/MPLS network issues is highly desirable
•Minimum of 5 years in the role of hands-on Solution Architecture in the telco OSS and/or BSS areas
•5+ years’ experience in the OSS domain
•Domestic and international travel is required.
