Job description

Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Systems Analyst to work remotely from Hawaii or Continental U.S. The Systems Analyst will provide functional knowledge in PeopleSoft; work with end users to understand requirements and document functional design solutions that are in line with business needs while staying consistent with the application architecture; test customizations and configurations to ensure requirements have been met; assist in training users in the proper way to use the system. Provide documentation for the design and for training team. Update the work tracking tool for accuracy and detail to be used by others. Demonstrate software to end users and other team members.

Interacting with business users directly to collect requirements, create requirements documents, map requirements to software features, and functional specification documents for system improvements

Working closely with technical teams to translate functional specifications into technical solutions

Working closely with the testing team to perform knowledge transfer of software features and the software flow to complete testing scripts

Research defects, determine root cause analysis, and is responsible for updating functional and test documentation accurately and timely

Presenting software to the client

Responsible for updating and managing tasks in the work tracking tool accurately and timely


Skills/Qualifications: Requirements Analysis, Planning, Database Management, Self-Motivated, Presenting Technical Information, Problem Solving, Data Modeling, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Ad Hoc Reporting, Data Maintenance, Exceptional Oral and Written Communication Skills.

Education and Experience: This position prefers a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant business experience. The successful candidate will be entry level to as much as 2 years of professional experience. Experience in or work for the U.S. military or Department of Defense is also highly desirable.

Clearance: A background investigation at the T3 level is required, as this is not currently a classified position. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Pay range for this position is from $70,040 per year to $92,700 per year. Exact rate of pay will be based on position and experience level.
