Job description

The UX Designer will work with Research, Product and Development on both functional as well as visual design for WEX products. This role is responsible for ensuring that the interface fulfills on the users needs, incorporates current best practices, and appropriately reflects the brand promise.

In this role you’ll be a part of an experienced remote team designing and prototyping new features and ideas. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, and Development to deliver high-quality, thoughtful mobile and web experiences. You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of design and execution, including pitching your ideas, designing features (workflow, visual design, interaction design, and prototyping), and partnering with development to implement your vision. Your ability to communicate your ideas to team members and project stakeholders is also a key requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product and UX lead to translate concepts into user flows, visualizations and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences with an emphasis on both customer-facing mobile as well as internally-facing applications.
  • Deliver wireframes and visualizations optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces with a focus device-agnostic design.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience recommendations related to both core and new functions and features. Identify workflow and experience problems, and suggest elegant solutions.
  • Ensure a user-centered design approach, rapid test and learn methodology. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

Skillset Requirements

  • 2+ years experience working with Figma
  • Experience with Sketch, Invision, Creative Cloud preferred
  • Strong understanding of mobile-first approach, experience designing for mobile using human interface and material guidelines.
  • Passion for working collaboratively on complex workflows and applications to create intuitive interfaces
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal and presentation to leadership audiences
  • Experience working with design systems a plus

This job may be performed remotely within the United States, except that it is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
